Why are the images from my blogger template broken or not appearing?
Many new blogger users find that the images from their blogger template are not appearing or taking too much time to load. Most of them are users who have taken their template on websites providing for them freely. You never face this problem? i bet that it will happen soon.
What is the reason?
A template is not only made with CSS, but to make a beatiful 2.0 quality template, some high quality images should be added. Most of the template makers often uses free hosting to host the template images while they make one. The problem is that it is not only YOU that download that particular ready made template from his website, but hundreds of other bloggers were also around or will come later, so the images bandwidth need to be huge. For example if you are using a cool template you got from some website and lets say you get a minimum of 2000 visitors per day, and the folks who are also using that same template downloaded from same website also get a considerable amount of visitors, the amount of bandwidth for those images should be larger. Often they are hosted on Photobucket or imageshack. They free images hosting but both have a limited amount of badwidth set, photobucket allow 25Gb of transfer per month and imageshack provide 300 megabytes of transfer per hour. Although they are enormous amount of bandwidth for free we should not deny the fact that hundreds or thousands of other bloggers are using the same images.
So what to do?
I recommend you to choose well your template before starting your blog, when you finish downloaded one, use notepad (or similar) to open it and search for all images links in the template and paste them in your browser and hit enter( one link at a time), obviously the image would appear if there is still some bandwidth left, save it to your computer, continue till you save all the imaes to your pc, do not remove the links from the template yet(use copy) as you will need it for reference while you will replace the images of the template maker with yours, you'l need to upload all the images you've saved on your pc to an imagehost.
